Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford, Anna Hu jewels, Jimmy Choo "Koko" Platform sandals. My best dressed of the night would have to be Gwyneth! The look is completely modern yet classic at the same time. The cape was unlike anything I have seen in a long time on the red carpet. I love the loose, sleek ponytail that does not take attention away from the clean, crisp lines.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin shoes, Bottega Venta bag, Forevermark and Fred Leighton jewels. This dress must not be mistaken for red. It is coral! I must admit I am not usually a fan of the peplum style, but Ms. Williams pulls it off in this Louis Vuitton number. The ruffles are playful and the crystal bow pin tops off the fun waistline detail.
Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen and Harry Winston jewels. This look is on the other side of the spectrum from what Jessica has been wearing this award's season. I think she pulls it off perfectly. The classic McQueen embroidery adds a regal air and somehow femininity.
Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace, Neil Lane jewelry, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, and Jaime Mascaro clutch. The bombshell at her finest! I love the thigh high slit and the toothy smile! The asymmetrical structure adds some edge and definition to the black dress.
Rooney Mara in Givenchy and a Fred Leighton ring. One of my favorite fashion icons of the past season. A step away from the black ensembles we have seen her sporting lately. This Givenchy is stunning. The lace detailing and open back work perfectly with her blunt bangs and strong red lip.
Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab, Jacob & Co. jewelry, and Edie Parker clutch. I was so happy to see a sprinkle of the classic Old Hollywood glamour on the carpet. Starting with Milla in this modern one shouldered, beaded gown. The classic red lip and short curled hairdo work so well with her look. The Edie Parker clutch is actually plastic!
Penelope Cruz in custom Giorgio Armani and Chopard jewelry. To continue the Old Hollywood class, Penelope Cruz channeled Grace Kelly in this off the shoulder gown with the fitted bodice and full skirt. I think she looked stunning.
Cameron Diaz in Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, Tiffany & Co. jewels. This look reminds me of Cameron back in the early 2000's and 90's. I love the new cropped hair cut and the tail of this gown is like a cascading waterfall of sweet air.
Kate Mara in Jack Guisso Couture, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Brian Atwood heels. The strapless dress and one shoulder detailing remind me of a tulip. I like the pale pink belt and beaded detailing.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad and Ferragamo clutch. J.Lo rocking her body in this Zuhair Murad look. The cold shoulder is very modern and the cinching in the middle of the bodice emphasize her curves in all the right places.
Viola Spencer in custom Vera Wang, Judith Leiber clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Viola Spencer looked stunning in the emerald green custom gown. I admire her natural hair and sculpted arms. She looks beautiful.
Natalie Portman in Dior Haute Couture, Dior shoes, Charlotte Olympia clutch, Harry Winston jewels. Natalie is as beautiful as always. I really loved her dress last year, this look is a bit more safe but never the less she makes the 12th spot on my list!
